Information on Vintage Dive Days April 1 & 2, 2023OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

Did you know? January 15th would have been Lloyd Bridges’ 110th birthday. He starred in numerous movies throughout the 40s and 50s, but here at the History of Diving Museum we remember him most for his role as Mike Nelson on Sea Hunt. If you were inspired by Mike and his heroic underwater antics using a double-hose regulator, you’ll have the chance to dive with this vintage gear soon.

The History of Diving Museum, NAUI, and dive historians are hosting Vintage Dive Days, Saturday, April 1st and Sunday, April 2, 2023 between 10am-4pm at Jules' Undersea Lodge.

Certified divers can register below (number of slots are limited, registrants will be contacted to confirm time) to embark on an underwater tour in the lagoon around Jules Undersea Lodge, using a double-hose regulator just like in Sea Hunt. You will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Deep Sea during his 100-day mission in the habitat. Diving experience fee includes gear orientation, dive, underwater photo op, and a free pass to History of Diving Museum. Plan on two hours for your vintage diving experience.

General spectators of all ages can register to attend for $15 per person to enjoy above water demonstrations with various hardhat diving helmets, including a Mark V and Miller-Dunn, which will also be available.

The day includes:

Certified Divers' Vintage Dives
Unique Photo Ops
Educational booths
Art activities for kids
Cornhole and other games
M.E.A.T. Eatery will have food available for purchase as well.
